Texas A&M’s Oil Mill Operators short course set for April 2-4
The 85th Oil Mill Operators short course—organized by the Process Engineering R&D Center at Texas A&M, part of the Extraction and Protein Technologies Program, and the International Oil Mill Superintendents Association—will be held April 2-4 at Texas A&M in College Station, Texas.
The course will cover a wide variety of topics associated with oilseed processing plant operations. According to the organizers, the goal is to present the tools and information needed to improve operations by increasing efficiency and optimizing human and plant assets.
Presentations of particular interest to the biodiesel sector include “Maximizing Oil Recovery” by Chas Teeter with Crown Iron Works; “Taking Advantage of New Process Technologies” by Adolfo Subieta with Desmet Ballestra; and “Greenhouse Gas Legislation” by Mike Meister with Trinity Consultants.
