XcelPlus acquires glycerin technology

By | June 17, 2008
XcelPlus Global Holdings Inc. has acquired technology capable of converting glycerin into a fuel suitable for use in turbine engines. The new technology could provide an additional revenue stream for biodiesel manufacturers by allowing them to convert their glycerin byproduct into a second renewable fuel. The new product, known as Gly-Clene, can be made from any feedstock. According to the company, the United States has enough glycerin to produce 27,000 megawatts of electricity per day using this technology.
