Lake Erie Biofuels, doing business as Hero BX, will celebrate one year of business at its blending terminal at 227 Atlantic Ave. in North Hampton, New Hampshire, by hosting an open house and appreciation event on Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hero BX has invited customers and community members to share in the celebration.
In late 2016, Hero BX first launched the Hero BX Branded Bioheat Program to meet a demand in the Seacoast residential and commercial heating oil markets. The Hero BX North Hampton blending and distribution terminal is the first of its kind in the region, enabling fuel oil dealers to procure biodiesel efficiently through customized blends from B2 to B80. The process is streamlined for the fuel oil dealer to be as easy as driving in, carding on and choosing to bottom- or top-load their truck, driving away with a blend that is accurate and reliable every time. Hero BX Branded Bioheat customers now have the benefit of an industry-leading product every time.

Biodiesel is a clean-burning fuel produced from domestic, renewable resources such as vegetable oils or animal fats that is a drop-in replacement for petro-diesel and can be used with no modifications to existing engines or heating systems. Bioheat is a blend of biodiesel and low sulfur diesel heating oil, offering a smarter solution that results in cleaner burning fuel to heat homes.
Also as part of the day’s events, Hero BX and D. F. Richard Energy will unveil three newly branded trucks under the National Biodiesel Board Vehicle Wrap Grant Program. As a member of the National Biodiesel Board, Hero BX sponsored DFRE for the program, which was designed to match up to $10,000 of vehicle wraps or decals showcasing America’s advanced biofuel. DFRE was chosen as a winner.
