Online auction of biodiesel equipment scheduled for April 17

Maas Companies will auction a surplus 3.2 MMgy biodiesel equipment package April 17 through a timed online auction.

Maas Companies says the equipment is surplus to the ongoing operations of FUMPA Biofuels (Farmers Union Marketing and Processing Association) and will sell as one lot.

The equipment package includes proof of capability for RFS2 (U.S. EPA), schematics, manuals, BQ-9000 program documentation, RFS2 audit compliance documentation and lab equipment. The plant was designed and built by Lurgi PSI Inc. The lot includes a Lurgi 3.2 MMgy process skid with a methanol recovery column from Southern Exchanger Corp., a Baltimore Aircoil cooling tower unit, glycerin tank/filter skid/controls, a water treatment tank, chemical pumps, a Palmer 10,000 gallon methanol storage tank, a Palmer 15,000 gallon biodiesel tank, 11 Allen Bradley Centerline-Intellicenter motor control centers, computer control equipment and software, a Silent Knight carbon dioxide fire suppression system, and more items detailed in the auction catalog.
