Alternative Fuels & Vehicles Conference heats up Orlando

The National Biodiesel Board will again have a strong presence at the Alternative Fuels & Vehicles National Conference and Expo, held April 19-22 in Orlando, Fla. Hosted by the Alternative Fuel Vehicle Institute, the national conference is a fuel-and-technology neutral gathering that attracts fleet decision-makers and industry experts to accelerate the commercial adoption of alternative fuels, vehicles and advanced transportation technologies. It will be held at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort and attract an estimated 2,000 attendees.

The NBB serves on the steering committee and has several speakers throughout the four-day event. The NBB is also presenting a workshop on biodiesel's role in growing domestic fueling solutions. Fleet managers and other attendees will hear the latest developments on new biodiesel standards, fuel quality and original equipment manufacturer positions.

They will also hear from peers who are standout biodiesel fleet managers. The NBB will have a booth in the expo hall and is a silver sponsor of the conference. Other sponsors include General Motors, Toyota, Ford and the Renewable Fuels Association.

Keynote speakers include General Wesley Clark, co-chairman of Growth Energy; T. Boone Pickens, founder and chairman of BP Capital Management; and Jeff Schuster, the executive director of global forecasting for the consulting firm J.D. Power. Keynote speakers will be joined by 200 experts presenting topics in 35 concurrent sessions. Timely information focuses on evolving transportation policy and funding changes that have created an unprecedented opportunity for alternative fuels and advanced technology vehicle markets.
