Biodiesel Conference & Expo offers do-not-miss opportunities

By | November 20, 2009
NBB's 7th annual National Biodiesel Conference & Expo is headed south to Grapevine, Texas. Now, in addition to the great networking, education and business opportunities the biodiesel industry has come to expect from the conference, we'll welcome the spice of Texas to the table.

Special sessions will highlight everything biodiesel in the Lone Star State, and the Biodiesel Coalition of Texas has joined forces with NBB for its annual event. BCOT will host sessions focused on Texas-specific topics designed just for its members, as well as help coordinate feature events with local biodiesel leaders.

"We're excited to be a part of the biggest biodiesel conference of the year, and glad to help welcome our biodiesel colleagues to Texas," said Jess Hewitt, BCOT president. "NBB's Biodiesel Conference and Expo promises to offer something for everyone-BCOT members, biodiesel leaders and industry stakeholders alike."

The Dallas-Fort Worth area is a hotbed of biodiesel use. NBB put together a DFW advisory committee to help maximize the local resources there. The committee has met with NBB twice, providing valuable input on educational sessions and speakers, possible media events, and vehicle showcase ideas. The advisory committee includes Mindy Mize and Pamela Burns, Clean Cities program; Ramiro Lopez, City of Irving; Randy Rendon, City of Ft. Worth; Gene Holloway, Denton Independent School District; and Mark Farrer, Direct Fuels.

Our conference destination, The Gaylord Texan, is known for its authentic Texas style and hospitality. The property overlooks beautiful Lake Grapevine and is centrally located, featuring four and a half acres of indoor gardens and winding waterways, fine dining, and casual restaurants, unique shops, live music, and dancing.

NBB knows from past attendees and exhibitors that they attend the conference to network with the numerous biodiesel marketers, feedstock growers, fuel distributors, government leaders and other biodiesel stakeholders. From our new Monday evening reception and Biodiesel Networking Center both in the Exhibit Hall, to a new and improved NBB Connections social networking system and numerous open forum "conversessions," the conference will make it easy for you to connect and learn!
