Florida Biodiesel delivers biodiesel plant to Ivory Coast, Africa
Florida Biodiesel Inc. announced it has completed sale of a B-500 biodiesel plant to the Lorymat Corp. in Ivory Coast, Africa. The company has chosen the B-500 biodiesel processor for its primary transesterification facility.
Florida Biodiesel says the B-500 processor is economical to operate and will allow Lorymat to safely produce 9,000 gallons of biodiesel a day, or more than 3 million gallons per year. Florida Biodiesel also says the B-500 will also be used as a hands-on educational tool to show students and government agencies how to make renewable energy.
“We will process used cooking oil collected locally and from sustainably grown palm oil into biodiesel fuel,” said Guy Kouadio of Lorymat. “The B-500 is very user-friendly, has a low carbon footprint, and will economically produce biodiesel for us.”
