The National Biodiesel Board (NBB) and farm equipment giant New Holland have announced the winners of a recruiting contest in which the individual who recruited the most Biodiesel Alliance members received a one-year use of a New Holland compact tractor.
Wisconsin Agriculture Spokesperson Natalie Parmentier was the top recruiter, drawing in 63 new entities. Michigan farmers Thomas and Gail Frahm were runners-up and also received the one-year use of a tractor.
Anne Tazewell of Triangle J Council of Governments in Durham, N.C., and Linda Graham of the Puget Sound Clean Cities Coalition in Seattle, Wash., tied for third place. They received 55-gallon drums of B100, courtesy of Ag Environmental Products, American Biofuels, Biodiesel Industries, Griffin Industries, Imperial Western Products and West Central Soy.
The recruiting contest doubled the Biodiesel Alliance membership, which now totals more than 700 organizations and individuals.
