Kinder Morgan Energy Partners recently completed modifications to provide for the receipt, storage and blending of biodiesel at its Las Vegas and Phoenix terminals, the company stated in an April 17 quarterly earnings release.
A spokesperson for Kinder Morgan told Biodiesel Magazine that both of the company’s Phoenix and Las Vegas terminals are scheduled to receive B100 product inventory before the end of April, with blending capabilities coming online in May. Each location will be capable of blending in excess of 1.25 million gallons of B100 per month (1,000 Bbl/day), depending on customer blending nominations.
Kinder Morgan has approximately 25,000 barrels of B100 storage at Las Vegas and 33,000 barrels of storage at Phoenix.

Montana Renewables LLC has delivered its first shipment of 7,000 gallons of SAF to Dearborn, Michigan's Buckeye Pipeline facility. From there, the fuel will be transported to the Detroit Metropolitan Airport via pipeline for use by Delta Air Lines.
