REG starts operations at New Boston, Texas, biodiesel refinery

Renewable Energy Group Inc. has started operations at its New Boston, Texas, biodiesel plant that the company bought last November. The plant, formerly known as North Texas Bio Energy and now named REG New Boston, employs 25 people and can produce 15 MMgy of biodiesel from recycled fats, oils and greases. The company scheduled a ribbon-cutting ceremony for June 28.
