Arkansas supplier tax refund applies to all biodiesel blends
The Arkansas legislature unanimously passed a bill that clarified wording on a biodiesel tax refund, which was enacted last year. Last year's legislation was interpreted so that the state's tax refund of 50 cents per gallon of biodiesel was available only to blends up to B2. This year's bill clarified that all biodiesel blends are now eligible for the tax credit. However, blends over B2 would receive a tax credit equal to the B2 credit, while B1 will receive a 50-cent credit. The new law became effective when Gov. Mike Huckabee signed the bill in April.
