Lee Enterprises Consulting announces addition of 6 professionals
Lee Enterprises Consulting announced the addition of six professionals to its consulting team. According to CEO Wayne Lee, these new experts represent the top talent in their respective fields, and bring the group’s total to 40 professionals serving 15 alternative and renewable fuels industries.
The new experts are:
-Barry Stevens: Based in Texas, Stevens has a doctorate in inorganic chemistry from Rutgers, the state university of New Jersey, and has more than 30 years of highly productive executive experience leading globally competitive companies to higher levels of profitability and growth. Stevens is responsible for laying the strategic foundation for several new industries and markets, building new businesses, and bringing state-of-the-art technologies to market. He secured more than $110 million in financing, obtained five U.S. patents, published numerous papers, presented at international summits and received several recognition awards for turning creativity into reality. Stevens will assist the group’s clients in matters pertaining to wastewater management and treatment.
-William Quapp: Based in Utah, Quapp has master’s degree in mechanical engineering from San Jose State University. He is a licensed professional nuclear engineer with extensive project experience in plasma gasification, chemical, mechanical and nuclear engineering. In addition to handling Lee Enterprises’ nuclear projects, Quapp develops and analyzes gasification projects, performs technical and financial feasibility analysis for converting hazardous chemical waste streams to electrical energy, and works in the conversion of municipal wastes to energy. He has extensive knowledge in the regulatory aspects of waste streams and has firsthand experience in obtaining air permits. Over his 45-year career, Quapp has been involved in numerous projects, has published more than 75 reports and papers, and holds four patents in waste destruction, chemical conversion, and nuclear shielding fields. He will assist the group’s clients in waste-to-energy, municipal waste, plasma gasification and nuclear projects.
-Atul Deshmane: Based in Washington, Deshmane has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from University of Missouri at Rolla and two decades of experience with alternative fuels and vehicles. Deshmane has led the development of new powertrain technologies, particularly focused on hybrid vehicles, and has helped deploy biofuels on the west coast to large and small fleets, both public and private. He is actively involved in development of cellulosic diesel technologies and has helped to launch new biobased fuels like renewable natural gas. Deshmane has decades of experience with alternative fuels and alternative fuels vehicles and has worked for an automobile manufacturer. Deshmane will assist the group’s clients in alternative fuels vehicles matters and renewable natural gas projects.
-Stuart Buckingham: Based in China, Buckingham received his biotechnology degree from De Montfort University Leicester, U.K. Buckingham is a widely skilled practitioner in alternative fuels operations and technologies and an expert in the design, construction and operation of bioenergy plants on three continents. As co-founder of Uptown Biodiesel in London, Buckingham created one of the most successful biodiesel companies in the U.K., winning the coveted “UK Green Business of the Year Award” in 2011. Buckingham will oversee the group’s projects in China and the Far East.
-Mindy Collier: Based in Florida, Collier has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in planning and management from Indiana University and more than 25 years of experience, including hands-on experience in managing biodiesel plant operations. She is also an experienced alternative fuels grant writer and has successfully written grants for solar, biodiesel and other alternative fuels projects. Collier will assist the group’s clients in identifying and writing all types of alternative and renewable grants, and for biodiesel clients, she will be available to direct the setup, monitoring and tracking of data for EPA and IRS reporting, RIN generation, tax incentives, and the purchasing of process chemicals and feedstock.
-Chad Smith: Based in Kentucky, Smith is a graduate of Indiana University and has several years of experience in biodiesel plant management. Within the biodiesel sector, his experience includes construction oversight, plant operations, market development and procurement. Smith’s knowledge of biodiesel plant operations, hands-on experience, and contacts in the industry, allow Smith to assist the group’s biodiesel clients in temporary plant management, particularly focused on assisting biodiesel plants with commencement of operations, including staff hiring and training, process development, sourcing and business development.
