US EPA's 2014 RFS volume draft proposal misses the boat

EPA's RFS proposal is under review by the Office of Management and Budget. Biodiesel Magazine confirms the early draft obtained stalls the biodiesel RVO at 1.28 billion gallons for 2014-15 while shrinking the '14 advanced RVO to 2.21 billion gallons.

Evonik opens new biodiesel catalyst plant in Argentina

With annual capacity of 60,000-plus metric tons, the plant will supply alkoxides as catalysts for biodiesel production. It will serve primarily the Argentine and Brazilian markets, and it is located near a large Terminal 6 S.A. biodiesel plant.
