American GreenFuels announced Nov. 21 that its biodiesel has achieved two Underwriters Laboratories environmental claim validations for recycled content and byproduct synergy. The company will relaunch its You Are What You Heat campaign this year.

HollyFrontier to build renewable diesel unit at Navajo refinery


Oil company HollyFrontier announced plans to build a new, $350 million renewable diesel production unit at its Navajo refinery in Artesia, New Mexico. The unit will be capable of producing 125 MMgy and is expected to be complete in early 2022.

Rep. Escobar to visit Rio Valley Biofuels plant in El Paso, Texas


U.S. Rep. Veronica Escobar, co-sponsor of the Biodiesel Tax Credit Extension Act (H.R. 2089), is scheduled to visit Rio Valley Biofuels, a biodiesel production facility in El Paso, Texas, on Nov. 26. Escobar serves Texas’ 16th District.
