5 MMgy Missouri biodiesel plant set for auction July 23
Maas Companies will auction Global Fuels’ 5 MMgy biodiesel plant located in Dexter, Missouri, July 23. The Global Fuels facility was built in 2007 with an original productive capacity of 3.1 MMgy. In 2013, the plant underwent a technology upgrade allowing it to process feedstock with higher free fatty acids, up to 15 percent, which also increased capacity to 5 MMgy. Located in southeast Missouri, the plant is strategically located near markets in Missouri, Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky and Tennessee.
“This auction offers a great opportunity for a new owner in the renewable industry or a local buyer with a regional business interest,” said Tyler Maas, director of sales and marketing for Maas Companies. The property has a 12,400 square-foot building used for production, warehousing and offices, which Maas says is adaptable to many business uses. “In addition,” Maas says, “the location embraces the economic benefits of operating in a smaller community.”
Interested bidders should contact the auction company to receive access to all the due diligence documents prior to submitting a sealed bid. Potential buyers are encouraged to schedule an inspection of the property and equipment July 1 between 9 am and 2 pm Central time, July 22 between 9 am and 2 pm Central time, or by private appointment.
The assets will be sold via a sealed bid auction as the owner is retiring. The deadline for offers is July 23 at 4 pm Central time.
Rochester, Minnesota-based Maas Companies specializes in the liquidation of specialized and renewable assets for private companies, courts, banks and lenders nationwide.
