April 25, 2007

Plans for the Colorado Center for Biorefining and Biofuels (C2B2) were recently unveiled by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). The collaboration of businesses, universities and NREL will conduct research to create new technologies to produce transportation fuels and other valuable products from plants with the goal of quickly commercializing the new technologies. Also involved is the Colorado Renewable Energy Collaboratory, a recently formed research association that includes the University of Colorado at Boulder, the Colorado School of Mines, Colorado State University and NREL.
