BAFA: Germany consumed 780 million gallons of biodiesel in 2010


Germany's Federal Office for Economy and Export Control (BAFA) released figures recently on the nation's total biodiesel sales for 2010. BAFA reports that approximately 780 million gallons of biodiesel was sold into the German fuel market last year.

Mission achieves ISCC certification, loses contract with Chevron


Australia-based Mission NewEnergy Ltd. has entered into a long-term supply agreement with Felda Global Group, a Malaysian palm oil producer. In other company news, Mission filed an IPO and lost its relatively new contract with Chevron in early March.

San Diego-based SG Biofuels stated it has applied more than 1.6 million genetic markers for jatropha toward the development of marker-assisted selection methods to produce high-performing cultivars of the energy crop.
