US energy investors can now trade Australia-based Algae.Tec


Peter Hatfull, managing director for the Australian and Atlanta-based company, met with the Bank of New York Mellon to establish and manage a level-one American Depository Receipt program for Algae.Tec, so U.S. investors can more easily buy stock.

Kentucky vocational school receives biodiesel award


Kenya Stump and the FCCTC have a partner in Chicago-based Loyola University that will supply a biodiesel processor to the project designed specifically for the Kentucky school's use. The processor will used WVO from the school's cafeteria.

Evonik donates $50,000 to Nebraska training facility


Through a $50,000 donation, Evonik will "help prepare individuals for work in the biotechnology and milling industries." The money will be used to operate the Washington County Technology Center at the Cargill-owned Blair, Neb., BioRefinery Campus.

UGES to open biodiesel transload facility in New Jersey


Ultra Green Energy Services LLC will celebrate the grand opening of a new biodiesel transload facility on May 16. The Whippany, N.J.-based facility features rail-to-truck transloading and red dye capabilities. UGES has sought such a locale for years.

Haitian farmers, California schools get help from Sirona Fuels
