Minn. commissioners recommend delaying move from B5 to B10


The content mandate is set to increase to B10 in 2012 and B20 in 2015. The law states, however, that certain conditions must be met before the increase to B10 occurs. A letter issued to six committee chairs says not all conditions have been met yet.

Florida-based Green Oil Solutions Inc. has announced successful production of camelina biodiesel, from field trials to harvesting, pressing and processing. According to a company director, the fuel met the ASTM D6751biodiesel quality spec.

The NBB released the following statement Monday after the U.S. Supreme Court announced that it has rejected a petition from the National Petrochemical and Refiners Association and the American Petroleum Institute challenging the EPA's RFS2 program.

Amtrak presents details on year-long Heartland Flyer B20 trial


Amtrak reported at a recent railroad conference that the use of B20 during a year-long trial in its Heartland Flyer locomotive resulted in no more wear than straight ultra-low sulfur diesel, with no reduction in performance or reliability.

Neb. bankruptcy court allows trustee to sell Beatrice Biodiesel


The Nebraska Bankruptcy Court has entered an order granting the Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee Rick Lange permission to sell the assets of Beatrice Biodiesel. The assets may be sold by private sale or at auction Nov. 29 with a minimum $5 million bid.
