	Biodiesel RIN task force set, first meeting scheduled for Feb. 28 After two high-profile cases of RIN fraud last year, NBB CEO Joe Jobe said he had asked Gary Haer, NBB chairman, to establish a RIN task force to restore confidence in the market. Energy Information Administration releases monthly stats Biodiesel imports dropped in November to 66,000 barrels. In October the U.S. imported 82,000 barrels. About 628,000 barrels of biodiesel was imported during the first 11 months of 2011, an increase over the 512,000 barrels in the same period of 2010. READ MORE SHARE

REG posts record fourth-quarter profit, year-end earnings up Ames, Iowa-based biodiesel producer Renewable Energy Group reported record profits of $29.5 million for the fourth quarter ending Dec. 31, compared to $5.5 million for the same time in 2010. 	Solazyme releases financial results for last fiscal year Solazyme's total revenue for fiscal year (FY) 2011 was $39 million, which represents a slight drop compared to the $38 million in revenue posted for FY 2010. FY 2011 net losses attributable to the company's common stock holders was $54 million. READ MORE SHARE
Biodiesel garners more attention in the Middle East Biodiesel seems to be gaining more traction in the United Arab Emirates. On Feb. 22, the Dubai Road and Transport Authority recognized McDonald's UAE and licensed biodiesel fuel refiner Neutral Fuels for their commitment to sustainable transport. READ MORE SHARE
