Algae production to be co-located with Brazilian ethanol plant

4 biodiesel, oilseed and biojet projects get $27M from USDA, DOE


The USDA and U.S. DOE announced nearly a $27 million investment in four cost-share projects involving biodiesel, oilseeds and biojet fuel. Projects are led by ARS NCAUR in Peoria, Ill.; Cooper Tire & Rubber; and Universities of Wisconsin and Hawaii.

La.-based Golden Leaf Energy biodiesel plant to expand production


Golden Leaf Energy, a 2.2 MMgy biodiesel producer in Harvey, La., plans to expand its production with financing help from the New Orleans Startup Fund. A $50,000 NOSF investment was leveraged by Golden Leaf Energy to secure another $200,000.
