European Commission releases proposal to alter biofuel policy


After much anticipation, the EC released a proposal to make significant changes to EU biofuel policy. The proposal will limit the global land conversion for biofuel production and increase the climate-related benefits of biofuels consumed in the EU.

86M gallons of US biodiesel produced in Sept., 843M gallons YTD


The EPA said 86 million gallons of biodiesel were produced in September, reporting year-to-date production of nearly 843 million gallons through the end of the month. A total of 96.5 million gallons of biomass-based diesel was produced in September.
