Study shows 8,000 biodiesel jobs threatened under weakened RFS The U.S. biodiesel industry is supporting more than 62,000 jobs and $2.6 billion in wages this year with production on pace for 1.7 billion gallons. Ill. ethanol plant to co-locate biodiesel production on-site Adkins Energy LLC has been awarded a $500,000 Rural Energy for America Program grant to begin construction on a $4.5 million biodiesel plant on the east side of its Lena, Ill., campus. 	Mewah Int'l to acquire 30 MMgy biodiesel plant in Malaysia Malaysian palm oil refiner Mewah International Inc. announced it has agreed to purchase biodiesel assets from Gomedic Sdn. Neste Oil to promote deployment of biojet fuel in Netherlands Neste Oil committed itself on Nov. 12 to a Dutch initiative aimed at the deployment of sustainable biofuel in the aviation sector. 	Creating bio-oil from wood chips a reality at Battelle Battelle has developed a mobile device that transforms unwanted biomass materials such as wood chips or agricultural waste into valuable bio-oil using catalytic pyrolysis.
