Senate Finance Committee passes tax package with biodiesel credit


The Senate Finance Committee passed a tax extenders package April 3 that includes a two-year extension of the $1-per-gallon biodiesel credit through 2015, retroactive back to Jan. 1 after its expiration Dec. 31. NBB called on Congress to act swiftly.

Incbio to supply biodiesel plant to South American client


Portugal-based biodiesel technology provider Incbio announced it has secured an agreement to supply a 55,000 ton per year (16.5 MMgy) biodiesel plant for an undisclosed South American client. Incbio expects the plant to be complete by December.

Lignol to use M Energy's pretreatment technology in Darwin plant


Lignol Energy Corp. signed an MOU between M Energy Co. Ltd. establishing the framework by which the two companies will work together to restart LEC's 140 MMly (37 MMgy) biodiesel plant and incorporate M Energy's proprietary pretreatment technology.
