Petrixo to build biojet fuel refinery in UAE using UOP technology


The Honeywell company UOP LLC announced this month that its green fuels process technology has been selected by Dubai-based Petrixo Oil & Gas to produce biojet fuel and renewable diesel at a new refinery to be built in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates.

Australian city to run 6-month B20 biodiesel trial at golf course


The city of Canada Bay in New South Wales, Australia, is beginning a six-month trial using B20 blends of biodiesel at the Massey Park Golf Course. Once the project is complete, the B20 biodiesel trial may be expanded across the Australian city.

US DOE awards $6 million to advance cost-competitive biofuels


DOE has announced $6 million for two projects to develop next-generation biofuels that will help drive down the cost of producing gasoline, diesel and jet fuels from biomass. The award recipients are SRI Int'l and the Research Triangle Institute.
