Atlantic Biodiesel officially opened its 45 MMgy biodiesel plant in Welland, Ontario, June 25. The former Great Lakes Biodiesel plant gained new ownership after GLB lender Heridge S.a.R.L. won the assets from a bankruptcy auction early this year.

Iowa fuel tax savings kicks in for biodiesel blends July 1


As of July 1, diesel blended with at least 11 percent biodiesel (B11) will enjoy a tax exemption of 3 cents a gallon compared to regular diesel, a legislative victory celebrated by the Iowa Biodiesel Board and its supporters.
