Diamond Green Diesel plans major expansion project


Diamond Green Diesel, the 160 MMgy renewable diesel facility in Louisiana, is expanding production to 275 MMgy. Completion is expected late 2017, with production to ramp-up in early 2018. The plant will operate at full capacity during the expansion.

REG expands logistics, storage at Danville biodiesel plant


REG Danville purchased a nearby tank complex for $1.5 million. The tanks are being connected to its existing infrastructure and will increase storage capacacity for feedstock by nearly 1 million gallons and biodiesel by up to 12 million gallons.

Iowa lawmakers vote to extend, expand state biodiesel incentives


The Iowa House passed legislation to extend and expand state biodiesel incentives, including a tax credit that helps keep the state's 13 biodiesel producers competitive, and a retailer's credit that entices fuel retailers to carry biodiesel blends.

REG begins $7 million upgrade project at DeForest biodiesel plant


REG celebrated the formal opening of the newest addition to its fleet of biorefineries April 26 with a ribbon cutting at REG Madison. The event also served as a groundbreaking for roughly $7 million of additional investment into the biorefinery.

Iowa legislature unanimously extends blender pump program funding


The Iowa legislature voted 94-0 in the House of Representatives and 49-0 in the Iowa Senate to secure another year of funding for the state's very successful biodiesel and ethanol blender pump program, the Renewable Fuels Infrastructure Program.
