New Sapp Bros. biodiesel blending facility opens in Nebraska


Sapp Bros., owner of 17 travel plazas and more than 30 wholesale locations across the U.S., celebrated the opening of its new biodiesel blending terminal in Norfolk, Nebraska, Aug. 30. The biodiesel is procured from BQ-9000-certified facilities.

German biodiesel exports up slightly over last year


In the first six months of 2017, German biodiesel exports slightly exceeded the previous year's figures. More specifically, Denmark and Great Britain purchased more biodiesel from German production. By contrast, demand from the U.S. slumped.

First commercial US biodiesel plant completes major expansion


AGP recently completed a major expansion project at its Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, biodiesel production facility—the nation's first commercial-scale biodiesel plant, built in 1996. Production capacity in Sergeant Bluff has doubled from 30 to 60 MMgy.

Aemetis completes enzymatic biodiesel production unit in India


The Aemetis subsidiary in India, Universal Biofuels, plans to export its biodiesel to the U.S. to help make up for the shortfall in imports after duties were imposed on Argentine and Indonesian biodiesel by the U.S. Department of Commerce.
