Brazil implements B10 mandate a year ahead of schedule


Brazil's nationwide biodiesel mandate has increased from 8 to 10 percent on March 1, according to an announcement from the Ministry of Mines and Energy. The National Energy Policy Council approved the increase in December, one year ahead of schedule.

CARB approves Targray's NOx mitigating biodiesel additive

2017 German biodiesel exports up 4.4 percent from 2016


German biodiesel exports amounted to around 1.61 million metric tons, or more than 483 million gallons, in 2017. Exports exceeded the previous year's level by 4.4 percent and are a major support for rapeseed oil demand in Germany.

The U.S. EPA approved a fuel pathway for the Renewable Energy Group Inc.'s Geismar, Louisiana, biorefinery that will allow the facility to generate D5 advanced biofuel renewable identification numbers (RINs) for naphtha and liquefied petroleum gas.
