Alberta awards TEIR funds to Canary Biofuels’ plant The government of Alberta on July 27 announced C$4.7 million in support for Canary Biofuels’ 70 MMly (18.49 MMgy) biorefinery that will convert agriculture waste, inedible animal fats and used cooking oil into biodiesel and glycerin. EU announces 5-year extension of tariffs on US biodiesel imports The European Union on Aug. 2 published a notice announcing it will extend tariffs on U.S. biodiesel for an additional five years, through 2026, following a review by the European Commission.
