USDA announces $800 million in support for biofuels The USDA on Dec. 7 announced the agency will make up to $800 million available to support biofuel producers and infrastructure, including $700 million in pandemic relief and $100 million in infrastructure funding to support the use of higher blends. EPA issues RFS RVO proposed rule, proposes to deny SRE petitions The U.S. EPA on Dec. 7 released a proposed rule to revise 2020 Renewable Fuel Standard RVOs and set long-overdue RVOs for 2021 and 2022. In a separate action, the agency is proposing to deny more than 60 SRE petitions. READ MORE SHARE

EIA improves biofuels reporting in Monthly Energy Review The U.S. Energy Information Administration recently changed the way its reports biofuel data in its Monthly Energy Review. EIA: US biofuel capacity up in September, feedstock use down Operable biofuels production capacity in the U.S. expanded by 32 MMgy in September to 20.766 billion gallons per year, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Nov. 30. Camelina storage, rail loading facility planned for Montana Sustainable Oils Inc. has purchased 45 acres in Havre, Montana.
