USDA maintains forecast for soybean oil use in biofuel The USDA maintained its 2021-’22 forecast for soybean oil use in biofuel production in its latest World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates report, released Jan. 12. EIA predicts US biodiesel production will expand in 2022, 2023 The EIA currently predicts U.S. biodiesel production will increase in both 2022 and 2023, according the agency’s latest Short-Term Energy Outlook, released Jan. 11. USDA: US biodiesel exports top 13,970 metric tons in November The U.S. exported 13,970.8 metric tons of biodiesel and biodiesel blends of B30 or greater in November, down from 29,689.5 metric tons in October but up from 10,262.3 metric tons in November 2020, according to data released by the USDA on Jan. 6.
