Clean Fuels comments on deadline for 2021, 2022 RFS rules On March 25, Clean Fuels Alliance America filed comments supporting the proposed consent decree in Growth Energy v. Regan (D.D.C. Report: Canadian biodiesel production, consumption up in 2021 A report recently filed with the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service’s Global Agricultural Information Network shows that Canadian biodiesel production and consumption were both up in 2021. ICE launches renewable volume obligation futures Intercontinental Exchange Inc., a global provider of data, technology, and market infrastructure, on March 28 announced the launch of two renewable volume obligation (RVO) futures contracts, expanding ICE’s U.S. renewable fuels futures markets. 	Neste, bp announce separate SAF agreements with DHL Neste and bp on March 21 each announced agreements with DHL Express for the supply of approximately 400 million liters of SAF. EPA holds training on updated process to bring biofuels to market The U.S. EPA in holding webinars on March 23 and April 6 related to its January 2022 announcement that the agency is launching a new initiative under the TSCA that aims to streamline the review of new biobased fuels and chemicals. Next Renewable Fuels receives key land use approval The Oregon Department of State Lands approved the Removal-Fill permit for Next Renewable Fuels’ $2 billion clean fuels project. EPA opens comment period on proposed settlement with Genscape The EPA on March 16 published a notice of proposed settlement agreement that alters the number of RINs that Genscape must retire to comply with a final determination issued by the agency in May 2019 that revoked its registration as a QAP auditor.
