	World Energy to develop new SAF hub in Texas World Energy on Aug. 18 announced it is launching advanced engineering plans to convert its existing assets in Houston to launch a new SAF hub that will boost the company's SAF capacity by 250 MMgy. EPA: 1.7 billion RINs generated in July The U.S. EPA released updated renewable identification number (RIN) data on Aug. 18, reporting that 1.7 billion RINs were generated under the Renewable Fuel Standard in July, down slightly from the same month of last year. READ MORE SHARE

EIA: US renewable diesel capacity up significantly U.S. production capacity for renewable diesel and associated fuels more than doubled between 2021 and 2022, reaching 1.75 billion gallons per year, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration. READ MORE SHARE
	Aemetis India plant selected to supply $41M of biodiesel Aemetis Inc. announced Aug. 29 that Universal Biofuels was selected by the three government-controlled oil marketing companies (OMC’s) and a major oil refiner to supply approximately 8 million gallons of biodiesel over the next two months. Canada to consume 885 million liters of biobased diesel in 2022 Canadian consumption of both renewable diesel and biodiesel is expected to be up slightly in 2022, according to a report filed with the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service’s Global Agricultural Information Network. READ MORE SHARE
EIA: US biodiesel capacity down slightly The U.S. was home to 72 biodiesel plants with a combined capacity of 2.255 billion gallons per year as of Jan. 1, 2022, according to data released by the U.S. EIA. Capacity fell by three plants and 154 MMgy when compared to Jan. 1, 2021. READ MORE SHARE

IRFA launches On-Farm Biodiesel Credit program On Aug. 11, IRFA launched a new statewide On-Farm Biodiesel Credit program to give back to farmers dedicated to using biodiesel.
