The city of Canada Bay in New South Wales, Australia, is beginning a six-month trial using B20 blends of biodiesel at the Massey Park Golf Course, according to a municipal press release.
“By using biodiesel we can reduce our greenhouse gases by up to 78 percent, compared when using petroleum diesel, helping us to meet our greenhouse gas reduction targets,” said Mayor Angelo Tsirekas.
B20 will fuel the golf course’s mowers and tractors. The city says the performance will be closely monitored and reviewed, after which expansion of the project may occur across the city.
