For nearly two decades, the TEAM M3 Meeting has served as one of the ethanol industry’s most collaborative and practical maintenance-focused gatherings. Built by maintenance managers for maintenance managers, the event creates an environment where ethanol producers, plant personnel and industry vendors openly share operational challenges, maintenance solutions and reliability strategies. The 2026 TEAM M3 Meeting is being explored as a continuation of the same peer-driven event style and Sioux City-area location the industry has supported for years — while enhancing communication, exhibitor coordination, sponsorship opportunities and overall event organization.

Renewable Identification Number (RIN) credits used to show compliance under the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) have had their share of ups and downs amid policy changes and uncertainty in recent years, but they're experiencing a glow up in 2025. When biomass-based diesel producers had to adjust from the $1/gallon blenders tax credit to the rocky rollout of the Clean Fuel Production Credit (45Z) earlier this year, margins took a deep hit. It's been the resilient RINs that have helped margins claw their way back, even after 45Z was finally finalized as part of the megabill that was signed into law on July 4. READ MORE

Renewable energy—including biofuels such as renewable diesel (RD) and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF)—is at the center of the conversation around reducing emissions worldwide. Global production of biofuels is expected to grow 43 billion liters by 2028, largely driven by regulations in the United States and Europe. A wide variety of feedstocks may be used to produce RD and SAF, but for many, a rigorous pretreatment process is required to remove contaminants and impurities before being refined. Removing feedstock contaminants prior to contact with catalysts downstream is critical to help ensure seamless fuel production and to utilize the equipment and catalyst’s full potential. Join Grace biofuels experts Chelsea Grimes and Natalia Krupkin for a discussion of the renewable fuels pretreatment market. We’ll cover challenges facing the market, a comparison of different feedstock types, commercially available technologies for pretreatment and the economics of optimizing a pretreatment unit.
