SeQuential Biofuels in Portland, Ore., has appointed Dave Garten as its first CEO. SeQuential is a biofuels marketing, distribution and retail company that supplies biodiesel to more than 30 regional fuel distributors in Washington and Oregon. Garten previously served as a business advisor to SeQuential and, before that, general manager and director of business development at the Intel Corporation. He holds a master's degree in business administration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as a master's degree in engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y.
