Amelot Holdings Inc. and Utah-based Pan-Am Biofuels Inc. have entered a joint venture to develop a 2,000-acre jatropha plantation in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. The proposed plantation, expected to be fully operational next year, would produce 3 MMgy of crude jatropha for the production of biodiesel, making it the largest jatropha plantation of its kind in Central America.
