AGQM (Arbeitsgemeinschaft Qualitaetsmanagement Biodiesel e. V.) will carry out a round robin test for pharmaceutical glycerol again. Registrations will be accepted until Dec. 23.
As association of all leading companies of the German biodiesel industry, AGQM predominantly deals with all issues concerning the quality management of biodiesel and its byproducts.
The participation in round robin tests is an important instrument to check test methods and the proper handling of professional laboratories. That is why AGQM has carried out round robin tests for biodiesel analytics as part of its quality management system since 1999.
The importance of glycerol—a byproduct of biodiesel production—is growing continuously. In the past, it was primarily used in the fields of cosmetics and technology. Nowadays it is used more and more as high-quality pharmaceutical glycerol, which is gained by refining raw glycerol.
