Conestoga Energy acquires midstream biodiesel logistics firm

Conestoga Energy Holdings LLC announced that it has acquired the assets of VicNRG, a leading marketing, distribution and terminal operating company for biodiesel. The purchase will enable Conestoga and VicNRG to better serve the needs of their customers in the energy and agriculture sectors.

“Our acquisition of VicNRG complements our business model of serving markets that are boutique and unique,” said Tom Willis, CEO of Conestoga Energy Holdings. “This investment represents an important strategic opportunity for us to be a midstream provider of biodiesel marketing and logistics.”

A subsidiary of Conestoga Energy Holdings, Conestoga Energy Partners is a leader in the marketing and production of low-carbon renewable energy. Established in 2006, Conestoga Energy is based in Liberal, Kansas, and operates three ethanol plants in Kansas and Texas with a total production capacity of 205 million gallons. The company is also one of the leading providers of distiller grain products for animal feeds.

Founded in 2009, VicNRG is headquartered in Southlake, Texas, with offices in Baltimore, Maryland. The company currently operates eight terminal locations in Arizona, California, Indiana, Nebraska, South Dakota and Texas. VicNRG is a leading marketing, distribution and terminal operating company that has developed a national distribution model and integrated service offering that is unique in the industry.
