Registration open for 2017 biodiesel round robin test
Germany’s biodiesel quality management association (AGQM) and the mineral oil and fuels standards committee (FAM) have begun registration for their annual round robin test for biodiesel and rapeseed oil fuel for 2017.
“Quality assurance in a producing company always includes the analyses of intermediates and the final product,” AGQM stated. “To obtain reliable measuring results, the measuring methods should be reviewed regularly. The participation in round robin tests is thereby an important instrument for laboratories to control and improve their own measuring competence and to identify handling, device or systematic errors.”
Laboratories from Germany, Europe, South America and Asia have taken part in previous round robins. The round robins on the analytical methods for biodiesel and rapeseed oil fuel have been conducted annually since 2008. Interested labs involved in analysis of biodiesel per EN 14214 and rapeseed oil fuel per EN 51605 are invited to participate. Registration is open until April 7.
