Sapp Bros. opens another biodiesel blending terminal in Nebraska
Sapp Bros., owner of 17 travel plazas and more than 30 wholesale locations across the U.S., celebrated the opening of its newest biodiesel blending terminal in Columbus, Nebraska, May 24.
The new Sapp Bros. biodiesel blending terminal is located just eight miles from the Columbus NuStar Terminal. Upon approval, fuel suppliers will have 24/7 access and loading. The biodiesel carried at the new Columbus terminal is made from soybeans and is sourced from BQ-9000-certified production facilities.
The company opened another biodiesel blending terminal less than an hour away in Norfolk, Nebraska, last year in late August.
Funding for the terminal was provided in part by the Nebraska Soybean Board. MEG Corp. provided consultation services and technical expertise.
