Chicago-based Bioheat heating oil dealer Ultra Green Energy Services LLC has expanded its wholesale biodiesel distribution in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut with the addition of two new wholesale biodiesel terminals in Newark, N.J., and Southington, Conn. The company has existing terminals in New Hyde Park, N.Y., New Rochelle, N.Y., and Elisabeth, N.J. It plans to continue expanding within the tri-state region.
"Ultra Green Energy Services is the most experienced company in the Northeast U.S. integrating biodiesel into the wholesale diesel and heating oil markets," said Michael Cooper, Ultra Green Energy Service's vice president and director of sales and marketing. "We have major advantages-these terminals will allow us to have the lowest distribution costs-passing on these savings will encourage people to use bioheating oil blends this winter."
Ultra Green Energy Services began grain trading in the 1970s before moving into ethanol project development and marketing in the 1980s. More recently, the company has developed unique hedging strategies and financial facilities to promote the production and sale of biofuels. In 2001, Ultra Green Energy Services principals were the first heating oil dealers in the nation to market a biodiesel blend of heating fuel.
"We guarantee that our fuels meet all specifications," said Daniel Falcone, Ultra Green Energy Service's Northeast wholesale manager. "In fact, Ultra Green Energy Services exceeds standard industry protocols by sampling and testing each shipment at independent labs. Biodiesel economics have changed, consumers will demand bioheating oil blends because they want a cleaner burning, domestically produced, renewable product that can be priced competitively to conventional heating oil."
