Petrolab Co. announced it has upgraded its IROX diesel fuel analyzer to determine the biodiesel content in diesel fuel. The portable IROX diesel FTIR analyzer, produced by Grabner Instruments, features a compact mid-FTIR spectrometer.
The IROX analyzer measures the complete absorption spectrum, which provides complete analysis of the substances present in the diesel fuel. The technology also analyzes cetane improver, total aromatics, poly nuclear aromatics and density of the fuel. The unit is ideal for laboratory and on-site analyses of diesel fuels, according to the company.
