Dover Corp.'s Pump Solutions Group was recently named recipient of the 2010 North American Positive Displacement Pumps Customer Value Enhancement of the Year Award by Frost & Sullivan. The award was presented to PSG at Frost & Sullivan's 2010 Excellence in Industrial Technologies Awards banquet at the Grand Hyatt-Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas.
"PSG's integrated business structure encompassing all of Dover's diverse brands allows the company to function as a single business entity, leveraging its common manufacturing and supply-chain infrastructure into enhanced value for its customers," said Muthuraman Ramasamy, Frost & Sullivan Research Analyst. "Its multiple pump technologies, combined with its domain expertise spanning several industry verticals enables Dover to cater to diverse operational requirements of end-users."
Comprised of Dover's individual pump brands, including Wilden, Blackmer, Griswold, Almatec, Mouvex and Neptune, PSG is currently one of the largest manufacturers of air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) and sliding vane pumps.
"One of the core missions of PSG and its operating companies is to not only provide our customers with the best pumping technology available, but to also work tirelessly to offer new-and-improved products that will help our clients move their businesses forward," said Dean Douglas, president of PSG. "This prestigious award from Frost & Sullivan shows us that our initiatives in this area are taking root."
The Industrial Technologies Awards are presented by Frost & Sullivan to companies that have made significant contribution to the manufacturing, automation, logistics, distribution, materials, construction, security and process industries. Award-winners have exhibited success in meeting the needs of their clients in delivering value and innovation while developing world-class companies with strong management teams.
Overall, Dover's formation of PSG acts as an umbrella group through which end-users can choose from a wide range of pump technologies. Dover's strategic acquisitions and subsequent successful integrations of those companies have enabled it to deliver enhanced and continuous value to business owners, making it the worthy recipient of the 2010 North American Frost & Sullivan Award for Customer Value Enhancement in the PD pumps market.
"This honor is a reflection on the hard, focused work in which PSG's six member companies have been engaged," said Soma Somasundaram, President of Dover Fluid Management. "It is also motivation for us to hopefully receive this award for value enhancement many more times in the years to come."
