Webster offers bio pump

January 1, 2006

Webster Fuel Pumps & Valves, a division of Capital City Tool Inc., is now marketing its new Bio Fuel Pump for home heating oil systems, Webster Sales Manager Curt Zahalka said. "This is a replacement to the standard residential pump and is compatible with biodiesel," he added. What makes this pump compatible-and standard pumps incompatible with bioheating oil-is the rubber material. Webster's new Bio Fuel Pump contains a trademarked Viton material that can withstand prolonged exposure to biodiesel, which may wear out rubber components in a standard pump. The new Webster pump can be used with all soy- or tallow-based biodiesel blends and B100.
