A well-rounded event

March 1, 2006

All the informational sessions were complemented by a little play. More than 90 attendees enjoyed a golf tournament at the world-class Maderas golf course. A Super Bowl party in a football-field-inspired venue helped "kick off" the conference. Attendees were also treated to an Emily Richards concert Tuesday night. Richards volunteered to perform in show of her support for biodiesel; she also attended the conference. She is known as the most downloaded independent pop/rock artist on MP3.com.

Of course, the conference could not have been this substantial without the help of sponsors like the USDA; NREL; the DOE; Earth Biofuels; Core Ventures/Croplan Genetics; Volkswagen; Biodiesel Magazine; Marc-IV Consulting; Ag Environmental Products; Axens North America; BASF Corporation; Biofuels Brokers LLC; Degussa Corporation, Building Blocks; Fremont Industries; John Deere Agricultural Marketing Center; Superior Process Technologies; West Central/Soy Power; World Energy Alternatives; Crown Iron Works Company; Inspectorate America Corp.; Nationwide Agribusiness Insurance Company; and Pacific Biodiesel, Inc.
