BDI, LPCiminelli form teaming agreement for waste-based projects
Austria-based biodiesel process technology provider BDI-BioEnergy International AG has entered into a teaming agreement with LPCiminelli Inc., a construction company out of Buffalo, N.Y., to help grow BDI-BioEnergy’s waste-to-energy technology in the U.S.
The companies say this agreement allows them to offer a value proposition to prospective clients of turn-key EPC services, including process performance guarantees.
“The United States is not only the biggest consumer of energy, but also by far the biggest producer of waste,” said Louis Ciminelli, chairman and CEO of LPCiminelli. “We knew waste-to-value could be a good business opportunity for our EPC/Solutions group if we teamed with the right technology partner, and that partner is BDI.”
The two companies began working together in 2010 on biodiesel and biogas projects.
Founded in 1961, LPCiminelli is an ISO 9001:2008 certified firm and offers program and construction management, general contracting and design-build services. Focused primarily in the Northeast U.S., LPCiminelli has expanded its geographic reach to deliver projects across the U.S. and several international locations.
