As tropical storm Isaac approaches the Gulf Coast and Louisiana with expected landfall late Tuesday (Aug. 28), Syntroleum Corp., half of the Dynamic Fuels LLC joint venture with Tyson Foods, stated that Dynamic Fuels’ 75 MMgy renewable diesel production facility in Geismar, La., is prepared.
“The facility has completed a normal shutdown, secured its property and implemented its hurricane procedures,” Syntroleum stated.
Experts suggest Isaac will gain enough strength in the hours before hitting land to be upgraded from tropical storm to hurricane status.
