Arbeitsgemeinschaft Qualitaetsmanagement Biodiesel e.V. (AGQM) will host its 7th International Conference in Berlin on Nov. 6-7, and this year the event will focus primarily on the many uses and applications of fatty acid methyl esters in the chemical industry.

According to AGQM, the introductory lecture block will deal with today’s market situation and current political framework for renewable fuels. Here the focus will be on the transition from energetic biofuel quota to greenhouse gas emission reduction quota—imminent at the turn of 2014-’15—and all alterations involved for the successful marketing of certified products. Scientific reports will be given on innovative production methods and process technology.

Also to be discussed at the conference is “Engine-related Aspects and Quality,” including presentations on current research results of tests on the stability of biogenetic fuels and heating oil, as well as results from a filling station study dealing with the extent and composition of blended biofuel components.

Conference languages will be German and English; all presentations will be translated simultaneously. Early bird rates are available through Sept. 15.
